Jul 04, 2008 -- Weekend Washout at the Bullring! |
After crowning mother nature mid season champion after the speedway suffered it's seventh rainout of the season on Thursday, July 3rd Tyler County Speedway regretfully has had to cancel the Eve of Destruction 5 set to take place on Saturday Night, July 5th as steady rainfall over the last couple of weeks have left the infield too saturated to safely put on a show. Racing action will continue next Saturday Night, July 12th as the IRS Racing Series comes back to town for the running of the Eaton/Childers King of the Ring race, with all armbands from the June 21st event being honored. Also on the card will be the rescheduled make up pure stock and mod lite features from June 14th and huge fireworks display at intermission.

Jul 03, 2008 -- Races Wiped Out Once Again By Mother Nature |
Races wiped out once again at the Tyler County Speedway for Thursday Night, July 3rd. Mother Nature crowned Mid Season Champion as she put a stop to racing action for the third time in a row and seventh time of the 08' season.
The Steel Block Mafia Invitational and AMRA Road Warrior Tour events will be rescheduled. Stay tuned for more details. |

Jun 28, 2008 -- Tyler County Speedway Cancelled |
Racing action scheduled for Saturday Night, June 28th at the Tyler County Speedway has been cancelled due to a heavy thunderstorm that rolled through and a forecast for additional severe thunderstorms throughout the evening. Legends Night will be rescheduled for Saturday Night, July 26th and the fogged out pure stock and mod lite features from June 14th will be ran on Saturday Night, July 5th.

Jun 23, 2008 -- IRS Sanctioned Eaton - Childers 'King of the Ring' rescheduled for July 12th. |
Tyler County Speedway's BDS Promotions announced that the 5th annual Eaton-Childers Memorial 'King of the Ring' that fell victim to rain Saturday June 20th has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 12th. 'We were very disappointed that the rains washed out the initial attempt to run this race, especially with the quality field of cars that were on hand' said BDS's Daniel Patterson. Read more

Despite a herculean effort by the track management, the Independent Racing Series sanctioned 5th annual Eaton-Childers 'King of the Ring' event fell victim to rain Saturday night. The event will be rescheduled at a later date, but plans were incomplete at press time. Read more |

Despite threatening skies and area afteroon rain showers, BDS Promotions once again stared Ma Nature down, getting race #7 for the '08 season in the books.
The late arriving crowd was treated to some outstanding action, a new name etched in the winner's record books, and 119 competitors providing some fierce racing action.
